I know it's been a while, and there's a reason for it. Sorry about not updating; I've been writing up new chapters and all that, but my main computer that I use for the actual game has a significant mechanical failure, and I am waiting to get it fixed. (Essentially my hard drive has died - I did get all of my data off of it, but I will have to put in and clone the new hard drive because I'm absolutely not upgrading to the problematic Windows 11 that has so many issues with Sims3, and the fact that my Sims3 was a physical download, and I no longer have the disks (yeah, that's on me) so I have to find a way to either clone this hard drive or find an alternative to the setup I have. I can still boot up the hard drive (and will need to to get my graphicsrules.sgr settings) but I know I'm on borrowed time with it.)
I am also going to be rewriting/tidying up/fixing some of the continuity errors I can see that are glaringly obvious to probably only me in the first 5 chapters, possibly adding some words to chapter 6 (as I can see it did confuse some folks- I tend to forget that while I'm technically writing for me and sharing, I need to describe to other people what my brain already knows about the story. I also tend to write ahead, and that's an oopsie I don't want to continue doing LOL - essentially y'all don't know what's going on in my head and I need to remind myself of that. Heh.)
I don't think there will be too many changes, per se, to the original text. Just working out some of the clunkier crap and making it less dramatic/weird/whatever it is that bugs me.
Also, since the first chapter just kind of smacks you in the face, I'd like to write a prologue to it, to sort of familiarize everyone with Twinbrook's history as a whole - a lot of we simmers know the whole mystery about it, but I want to go further into the lore and make up some stuff, too.
So that's where we are. I'm sorry I haven't updated much. I tend to work in spurts, and this is one of those low points. With summer vacation in full swing, my access to the computer is limited due to the other individual in the house being home from school and hogging it to play TF2 - that is, until this happened.
I'll leave this up until I finish the chapter finessing (there's the word I was looking for!) and go from there.
Until then.
